The scheme seeks to generate returns commensurate with low credit risk by predominantly investing in the portfolio comprising of short to medium term sovereign securities (65 - 100 per cent) issued and guaranteed by Central and State Government. The average portfolio maturity duration of the plan will not exceed 5 years. The Scheme may also invest in money market instruments (0 - 35 per cent).
