Repositioning of Sundaram BNP Paribas MIP

Sundaram BNP Paribas Monthly Income Plan, an open-ended income scheme from Sundaram BNP Paribas Mutual Fund will be renamed as Sundaram BNP Paribas Monthly Income Plan - Moderate Plan.

Consequently, two additional plans will be introduced under the scheme, viz., Conservative Plan and Aggressive Plan with Growth and Dividend (payout and reinvestment) options. While their investment objective will be the same as the Moderate Plan, these plans will have different leeway for equity investments targetted at investors with different risk profiles.

Conservative Plan: Maximum 10 per cent of its assets can be invested in equity and related securities. The balance will be invested in fixed income securities. Investments in securitised debt will be restricted to 75 per cent.

Aggressive Plan: Maximum 30 per cent of its assets can be invested in equity and related securities. The balance will be invested in fixed income securities. Investments in securitised debt will be restricted to 70 per cent.

The new offer period for these plans will be from January 25, 2010 to February 23, 2010. Existing investors under the scheme can also redeem their investments during this period without any exit load, as required under SEBI Regulations regarding changes in fundamental attributes of a scheme.
